Bud Powell is the pianist that Jazz hounds hate to love and love to hate. Not as nearly as revered as his compadre in first wave Bop crazy ivory work, Thelonious Monk, Powell nevertheless was a true Jazz giant. This later recording showcases his still vibrant playing in a relaxed setting alongside other master players - Zoot & Dizzy. Although a live recording, these tracks are a great insight into the later days of an amazing player.
