Come on down and see the real stars in Hollywood. In observance of 2009 as the International Year of Astronomy, celebrating the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first use of the an astronomical telescope, Amoeba is happy to join Sidewalk Astronomers on Saturday, April 4th, starting around 6:30 and running throughout the night, as they point their 'scopes heavenward. In their continuing campaign to bring the marvels of the skies to all of the earthbound, Sidewalk Astronomers will have a few telescopes set up along Sunset, between Cahuenga and Ivar, and invite one and all to put eyeball to eyepiece and scan the stars. Special treat for Hollywood dwellers is a cameo by Sidewalk Astronomers' founder, John Dobson.
