With Smokey pop rattles, savory deathly hallowed purrs, Pins & Needles invites the suicide phenomenon of The Cure, the vampire urgency of Bauhaus, the beauty of the grave from Sister’s of Mercy, the glisten of the ocean from Echo & the Bunnymen, and the blood from the death disco of Joy Division/ New Order, yet still manages to make you want to tear your off your clothes and dance alone in glory, in front of your silver mirror wearing just your Batman underoos.
