It's impressive that Paul Simon is still this great, and that this album is on par with Graceland in its overall enjoyability, and in the way it feels both loose and perfectly structured. It doesn't feel like he's trying to do anything other than make an album about how he feels right this minute, which is a particularly youthful approach to an album that's written from the perspective of a man who's seen his share. Paul Simon forever! No, seriously, I think after the Apocalypse it's gonna be cockroaches, that horrible island made of plastic, and Paul Simon's most current album.
