louis armstrongAmoeba Music has painstakingly remastered thousands of tracks from jazz genius Louis Armstrong’s vast catalog, and you can now download them all at’s Vinyl Vaults!

Here is Louis as you’ve never heard him. More than 600 sides have been expertly remastered from pristine original 78s that sound amazing—plus thousands of hard-to-find and undiscovered songs remastered from out-of-print and obscure vinyl sources not found elsewhere digitally!

Check out our beautifully restored rare Louis versions of “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “Just A Gigolo” and many others. We have also remastered dozens of live shows, including the previously legendary, previously unheard “Live at Kitsilano High School” show from Vancouver in 1952—plus hundreds of lost radio and TV performances for your listening pleasure.

Here’s an example of the remastering we’ve done for these Louis Armstrong tracks on the song “Static Strut” from the original Vocalion 78 released in 1926. Hear the song change from the original to the Amoeba-remastered version at the 20-second mark.

Watch this performance below of Louis Armstrong live in Copenhagen in 1934 for another example of our remastering. Audio restoration begins at the 51-second mark. Songs include “I Cover the Waterfront” and “Dinah.”

San Diego Record Roundup

Amoeba Music, the country's biggest and best independent Record Store, is inviting San Diego residents to bring their unwanted LPs, CDs and music collections to our Record Round Up at the King's Inn the weekend of Oct. 23-25.

We're bringing buyers down from our stores in San Francisco and Los Angeles to meet folks in San Diego and create a convenient way for area residents to get top dollar in cash for all resellable items. Sellers may also opt to get even MORE in credit for our stores or shopping on

Sellers may bring in any amount of CDs or VINYL formats (including LP, 12”, 45s and 78s), and buyers will inspect and evaluate each item, add them all up and make a cash offer! Only items in playable condition will be considered for purchase. Prices offered vary widely based on title and condition and the retail value; see below for a list of most sought after genres**. Valid government-issued I.D. is required for all cash transactions.

Sellers can bring us their stuff anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the first two days of the event and up until 4 p.m. Sunday, and we will happily help you unload and bring in your used vinyl and CDs. We are also open to buying any original music and concert posters. Our buyers are friendly, fast, efficient and will work hard to keep your experience fun and as quick as possible.

It's EASY to sell your collection. Whether it’s those “hard copies” that are taking space on your shelves, a collection or estate of a family member, or your own personal collection, we can pay you cash on the spot and bring those records back into the world for another generation to enjoy! Skip the three-hour drive to L.A. and liquidate your unwanted records and CDs without leaving town.
