The Zero Boys - A Nico Mastorakis Film

Dawn Of A New Breed Of Heroes!
It's starting to feel like a Mastorakis weekend:

Following yesterday's report on The Wind, I'm back with another Mastorakis hit (and one of my personal favorites), THE ZERO BOYS !

What starts off as a simple military reject / paintball caper, the mood quickly downgrades to a slick & sadistic Deliverance flavored slasher... complete with a SNUFF FILM TORTURE BARN.

Most importantly, however, is that it stars Kelli Maroney (Chopping Mall, Night of the Comet)!!

The Wind - There's Something Deadly In the Air

Video Box Of The Day 3/24/07

Since it is a bit hard to see clearly on the scans, I've blown up the two most important parts of the box (you're welcome!).

Film Tagline:

Closing line on the back:

The fact that the D in Wind is made from the killer's hand scythe certainly makes this one stand out, too.

About the quality of the film, I don't yet have much to say. I've been too obsessed with staring at the box to actually watch the flick. I do know, however, that it HAS to be a killer:

1. Wings (VICE SQUAD!) Hauser plays the mysterious caretaker Phil!
2. This was shot immediately before Meg Foster played Evil-Lyn in the Masters of the Universe live-action motion picture.
3. It was directed by Nico Mastorakis, ALWAYS a sign of '80s quality (be sure to check out Zero Boys if you haven't already).
4. It was released on Lightning Video !
