Berkeley World Music Festival - Autumn Equinox, 9/20-9/21

The Berkeley World Music Festival holds their first-ever Fall festival with Autumn Equinox the Berkeley World Music Festival Autumn Equinoxweekend of September 20th and 21st. The festival is a free celebration of music and community, and is held outdoors in People's Park and in various Telegraph Avenue venues.

On Saturday, September 20th, shows run from noon to 9pm in People's Park on the Amoeba-sponsored stage! Catch performances from La Misa Negra (Afro-Columbian & Cumbia), SambaDa (Brazilian Samba Funk), Markus James & the Wassonrai (Mississippi Meets West Africa), and more! Also catch live music in cafes, shops & along the sidewalk along Telegraph Ave. from noon to 9pm with Reinhardt Swing (Gypsy Jazz) and Tango Revolution Telegraph (Argentine Class & Milonga), just to name a few.

Sunday is the Telegraph Avenue Street Faire, merging Berkeley World Music Festival and the season finale of Sundays on Telegraph. Enjoy main stage entertainment with Baraka Moon with Stephen Kent (didjeridu) & Sukhawat Ali Khan (Quawali Sufi Trance Dance), The Bouchaib Abdelhadi Band with DanceVersity (Middle Eastern), Sadza Marimba (Zimbabwean dance music), Cypress Grooves (Cajun & Zydeco), Michael Masley (World Kalimbalom & Eggdawn Autoharp), and Simcha (Klezmer). Also take in the street music and art, and circus and interactive play.
