Thanks to my man E-Lit at Amoeba Berkeley for taking time out of his day in video above to run down all the new and recent hip-hop releases for this week's Hip-Hop Rap Up which includes longtime Oakland emcee & Solesides/Quannum star Lateef The Truthspeaker's first solo outing: the star-studded Firewire on Quannum which includes such Bay Area hip-hop greats (and longtime collaborators) as DJ Shadow, Dan The Automator, Lyrics Born (his partner in Latryx), The Grouch, Del the Funky Homosapien, Headnodic, and Chief Xcel (who handles production). The new Lateef the Truthspeaker album track "Oakland" that features Del The Funky Homosapien & The Grouch and appears below in audio play mode, I predict will soon become the new Oakland anthem.

Also on this week's chart are the eight and latest album from People Under the Stairs, popular young East Coast rapper Mac Miller's new album Blue Slide Park , and Maryland talent Wale's latest Ambition. Another new chart entry is Black Milk & Danny Brown (aka Black and Brown) who are the much hyped, self-proclaimed “flyest Negroes of America” who arrived as a team a year ago with Album of The Year. They are back with this new release on Fat Beats that features the title track which is below in brand new video format along with a string of other new hip-hop videos. Other new videos include "Don't Do It" by Dub Esquire, League 510'a "Friday (feat Siara Shawn), "Do You Like It by ChazVanQueen featuring Kool A.D. of Das Racist, the title track off Wale's Ambition (not official video), and the brand new (as in from earlier this week) track from Azeem under the Creme De La Ultra project tag and the song "The Rapture" which opens with "Eleven, Eleven, Eleven" just in time for today (11:11:11).
As well as "Party on Fifth Ave" the latest (third video) from Mac Miller's new album Blue Slide Park also below is the brand new track from West Coast talent K.O. The Legend with production by his longtime associate DJ Abbico (Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover) and features a cameo from the Bay's Indecent the Slapmaster who was responsible for the recent Vallejo rap anthem song and video featured here on the Amoeblog a few weeks ago: "Valljeo 1." This new video is directed by big time music video maker Cole Walliser who also directed the new Katie Perry video and Pink's video. "We had so much fun filming this video," Indecent the Slapmaster told the Amoeblog this week.
