I can most definitely corroborate what Diamanda Galas has written here. I remember the events clearly.It is true that any time there is an article written by or about Diamanda, Michelle, in one of her many fictitious incarnations shows up to defame Diamanda's character. It's an act as old as the big bang. "Kalliope Amorphous"/Michelle Walsh befriended Diamanda in hopes of persuing a sexual relationship with her. Many times, Diamanda explained as nicely as she could that she could not return her affections as she is not a Lesbian.Michelle,Posing as Kalliope continued to sexually harass Diamanda both online, and engaged in very inappropriate stalking behavior off line. Diamanda then told her in much stronger, language,to back off, that her sexual advances were NOT welcome and the only dates men.

Michelle's obsessiveness then turned to rage,as a result Michelle managed to have Diamanda's Website shut down under false pretenses. Diamanda had was forced to get a restraining order against Michelle.Michelle has attempted to,and she is still doing to this day assassinate Diamanda's character by claiming that she (Diamanda) is virulently homophobic. Anyone familiar with Diamanda's body of work, even from the most objective viewpoint would observe that this is very much untrue, and just another facet of Michelle Walsh's vitriolic smear campaign. Then came the completely unfounded Fire accusations.It goes on and on.No matter what Diamanda does, or writes, there is Michelle, Kalliope who has been shown to engage in histrionic and once again she tries to invert the facts to appear victimized and persecuted. Yes, everyone is right. I was an administrator on the old Diamanda Galás Facebook Page and am currently an admin. on the current one. I too have personally witnessed all of these events since 10/23/10. That is the day that Michelle Walsh a.k.a. "Kalliope Amorphous"' obsession turned to rage. Walsh befriended Ms. Galás with (I believe) two intents. 1) To promote her "art", which dozens were stills of bootleg videos of Diamanda Galás in concert that she photo-shopped. I personally read the email that Walsh sent Ms. Galás giving her free reign of all of her images to do anything she wished with them. They were put on Diamanda's site diamandagalas.com with Diamanda doing this as  a favour to help Walsh's "art career". 2) To pursue a romantic relationship with Ms. Galás. On this day back in October, everything went to Hell in a handbag. Walsh complained to bigdaddy.com (owners of diamandagalas.com website domain) that the website was using UN-authorized, copyrighted photos, (of Diamanda's bootleg concerts) and demanded they be taken down. The website was temporarily suspended. Was supposed to be for 10-16 days, but with the email Walsh had sent Ms. Galás granting her full use of the images, that i read myself, the website was up and running in a matter of hours. Then things just proceeded to get worse from there. She tried to have Diamanda's personal Facebook Page, along with all of her friends shut down. She succeeded in having my FB Page shut down. Then this Wojnarowicz issue started the 1st of December 2010. Ms. Galàs was asked to write a speech/response to this whole Wojnarowicz debate. She personally told me this before she had even begun writing it. After this response was posted to the Washington City Paper, the comments started pouring in. Us that have seen this from the start knew that all of these comments were from the same person under numerous names and this person's associates. We knew this because of the terms that were used, like "tuna", etc. that were used on the Diamanda Galás Mexican Facebook Page. Then after this, every public forum about Diamanda became a "Diamanda Galás Hate Site". Then Walsh went under the name "Antonia LeClerc" on Facebook and wrote a message that Diamanda and all of her friends Facebook pages would be shut down at anytime. This was on December 10th 2010 when this incident happened. The whole debate about whether or not Diamanda Galàs music "This is the Law of the Plague" was edited for David Wojnarowicz "A Fire in My Belly", has been found out to be the case, from David Wojnarowicz' friend and long-time collaborator  Marion S. in Paris, France. Walsh contacted the R.I. Police Department accusing Ms. Galás, and her Facebook friends, including myself, of stalking her and threatening to burn her house down. Where she came up with all of this, we will probably never know. She also claimed to have screen caps of all of these events including me writing death threats to Lesbians. Okay, that sounds logical, since I myself am a gay man and am the last thing I am is a homophobe. She offered these screen caps to "anyone" that wanted them. They were requested numerous times to no avail. She also accused Ms. Galás of being a homophobe because she said she wasn't a Lesbian. Okay, anybody knowing Ms. Galás' work and public persona knows this is simply ludicrous. For all of the "fighting" and work she's done for gays and the HIV virus back when it first hit. This girl is delusional and will stop at nothing to try and ruin Ms. Galás' career. I just wish, along with so many others that know the whole story, that this person and her associates would just stop this "smear campaign" against Ms. Galás and move on to something else. I just can't fathom how many hours and now months these people have wasted stalking all blogs, pages, & websites with anything relating to Diamanda Galás. And this "Soo-Me Sillya" should have been stopped years ago for promoting AIDS Denialism which has probably sent 10's of thousands of HIV positive people to an early grave. I am claiming the above posts as the last straw. I have a Google alert set on my name for my work and for the past FIVE MONTHS these alerts have been peppered with links to articles where Diamanda Galas insists that I am stalking her. Further, she insists that I am responsible for every criticism posted about her since I told her “goodbye.” Either she is completely sincere and in some paranoid delusion really does believe this -OR- it is part of an elaborate, 5-month long revenge strategy. Honestly, I don’t know if is absolute paranoia or revenge, but it doesn’t matter. For whatever reason, she has made it her mission to defame me. I have been quiet for five months, watching her smear campaign, but I am done. Really, Diamanda. Enough is enough, -except for Diamanda, for whom the word “enough” does not compute.

Diamanda is well-hated. In fact, I spent a long time rushing to her defense as some others are doing now. Of course, at the time I believed she was unfairly attacked by many people and so I defended her (quite rabidly at times). What I have learned is that Diamanda is well-hated for a reason. Her many enemies exist for a reason. All of a sudden, she believes that _I_ am all of her enemies. She believes that _I_ am every critic. She insists that _I_ am every negative commentator. This is an impossible resume to live up to for someone with a moths schedule, never mind someone who is balancing too many projects. It is entirely and 100% FALSE. If I wanted to criticize Diamanda, I would do it under my own name, as I am about to.

For some reason, Diamanda would like people to believe that I am stalking her. My last words to Diamanda were: “Leave me alone. Do not dare contact me again.” If I were going to pick up a second career as a stalker, Diamanda is the last person on the planet I would stalk. been nonstop since a little girl who does not believe that it is possible for straight women

Inter alia: Really Kalliope is lying, the information is out of context, I was made a working with galas in the last days of september, so what I`m telling its true, Kalliope is the STALKER (Balàkas)

The people posting here on this board need to understand the definition of stalker. A stalker is someone who is threatening and follows another around. Kalliope Amorphous, I have known her and worked with her. She is very well respected and being tagged with something like stalker is definitely defamatory and from what I have seen has been an attempt to harm her status. Kalliope has stated many times that she would like no contact at all with Galas. Galas has been harassing her. Kalliope has said she never claimed to be in a romantic relationship with Galas. They were very close had a fight and are no longer friends. The video is to show the closeness of the friendship in order to refute the stalker claims. I am probably in Galas age group and it is disgraceful to try to ruin another artists career for anger or whatever the reason is. That this artist has been maligned publicly by Galas gives her every right to speak in her own defense in whatever way is necessary. Defamation on this scale is very serious and if the evidence in that video is on paper and has been tracked then Galas will have no recourse in court. It is called on the face libel, which means that its cut and dry in any court of law. Galas could not even countersue at this point because the fact is she has defamed Kalliope Amorphous by calling her a stalker, psychotic, etc and all of these things have been posted for the public to see. The other thing important to remember is that ""Its not libel if it's true."" In this case, Kalliope would have a clear win legally whereas when it came time for the emails, screencaptures etc. were connected back down to the computers of the people involved, whoever had those ISPS would be liable. This is serious. I have been through this before and it is not something to take lightly. Relationships, friendships go sour all the time but there are certain things that cross boundaries. Since Galas is a public figure it is actually true that she would be held under a much stiffer penalty than say two neighbors having an argument. The slander has been brought into the public arena which has made it even more potentially damaging to Kalliope. Actually I think some of this would fall under criminal libel as well which could actually be some jail time. Either way its not good and I think people need to think before they type online.

The other thing that is interesting about this situation is that Galas seems to have made a warning or threat beforehand which shows that the motive was anger due to a personal argument. The public figure issue would come into play also because it is very obvious that she used mostly fans to carry out alot of the defamation and harassment so Kalliope is right there. Those people can be held responsible individually, but Galas would be responsible for their actions first. From all of posts made here it also would prove that the stalker claim were false because victims do not typically harass their stalkers. If just the posts here were clipped somehow it would be enough to show that this was a case of libel and you can see this through the personal nature of many of the postings. Again you have to understand the implications of the word stalker. You also have to understand that it does not fall far from calling someone a murderer when it goes to a libel matter. I saw a comment to where Kalliope was accused of sexual harassment also. What I see is Galas digging a bigger hole for herself and the fans whose intentions may be to defend Galas should realize the damage that defamation can cause and the accountability for making those statements. Basically no one should make accusations publicly about someone unless they know it is the truth. As I said truth is the only defense to an accusation of libel and I don't see any of that here. It would be impossible to refute false stalker accusations when Galas and Amorphous were friends and a threat was made to expose and then those statements were false. I think also if this does become a civil or criminal matter, the statute of limitations is actually getting extended in this situation because even when the victim has tried to make a public defense, the libelous statements continue. I am not a lawyer but I have dealt with a case similar so I know what I am talking about.

Thank you, Tari. You pointed out some things that actually made me think and I want to thank you for that (I am not being sardonic). I realize now that the video, where I tried to refute Diamanda's lies, was not very clear. So, I have removed the video. As you said in your critique, it was too long and jumbled and it was hard to place things within a context. But, you have to understand, when someone has resorted to pathological lying because they are so caught up in revenge, it is very frustrating for their target to try and present the truth to outside observers in a way that will be immediately clear. It is especially difficult when that person uses their status as a public figure to manipulate others.

Diamanda has revoked her right to certain types of privacy (and mine) by committing several major crimes and dragging this out into the public arena. I am able to pursue this criminally and civilly, but in the meantime, I must defend my reputation because she is relentless in trying to ruin it. As you can see, by some of the posts above, one of the things that is being encouraged is the destruction of my perfume business. When I state that I do not want to take time out of my life to engage this, it is an understatement. But, I will allow this to happen.

My seventeen year old son, who is a fan of the Foo Fighters, came across your blog recently and after reading the comments brought Amoeblog to my attention. It only took me five minutes to realize this website was hijacked for character assassination, threats and vulgarity. I teach classes in communications at a small Midwestern college and defend free speech; however, while you are entitled to express opinions about the Foo Fighters it is obvious to any rational thinking reader that you had an agenda that exploited your status as a celebrity to foment a perverse hatred towards an artist named Kalliope Amorphous. I read every comment and accusation and understood why my son was upset. I know you will not apologize to the countless people who you offended when they read these comments and who are probably still trying, in vain, to understand how you, Ms. Amorphous and the Foo Fighters fit into this bizarre jigsaw puzzle.

Ms. Galas, you and I are the same age but reading your comments one could easily deduce you are younger than my son based on the immaturity displayed. I investigated the commenter’s posts and learned some are actual people while others are not. As for the support of your fans it appears many of the comments are pseudonyms; an ineffective effort at anonymity. My hypothesis is based on a style of writing with similar usages of improper syntax, misspelling and incoherency. The many inarticulate comments confirm a disconcerting and relentless campaign to annihilate one individual’s credibility and personality, and I can only conclude you have done this before, and will continue, against anyone with whom you disagree or despise until you either stop by your own volition or are prosecuted under the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s hate crimes division. Despite hiding behind a facade of rectitude you display a cyber-terrorist-cum-cult-leader persona with your propaganda. Ms. Galas for someone who is apparently an influential, albeit marginal, musician and writer who promotes human and gay rights, and should be appalled by such behavior, you are overflowing with hatred. Hi. Esther Zaplana Galás here. I just love the rhythm of those syllables. Thank you for bestowing on me the most perfect drag moniker. No, I am afraid I am neither of the two. I am a psychologist from the UK who has worked for years in the Queer and Art communities, and, unlike many of those who have posted on this page, I have met Diamanda Galás on many occasions. She has always been charming and extremely funny. I believe that the motivation for many of the posts is Artphobia, which I regard as an intellectual lacuna - vast synaptic spaces across which neurons do not transmit - befitting of a psychiatric diagnosis...much like Homophobia, in fact. I recognise the symptoms here. If I had the juristiction, I would be incarcerating several of you for your own protection. I do not intend to post on this site again as I believe I have made my feelings clear. Besides, I also hate the Foo Fighters, whoever or whatever they are. In the UK "foo" is a component of a rather obnoxious dish available in the worst Chinese takeaway restaurants.

What a shame for two great artists. I thought Kalliopes artworks of Diamanda were beautiful and they seemed to have such kinship. I'm a relatively new fan of Diamanda's, and let me just say that she has inspired the hell out of me. I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately. I've been spending a lot of time by myself, reading, writing down my thoughts, evaluating my life, realizing my true passions, and basically just really digging deep. So finding Diamanda's music during this time in my life, was the best thing that could have happened to me. It was so refreshing to find out there are still some strong, influential, talented, women in this world who make no f*cking apologies for who they are. What really stood out to me was how she is one of the very few people on this earth that actually has a grasp on what's important and what isn't. She lives with passion, conviction, and purpose, and she blew my mind. That kind of individual doesn't come along very often in my world. Living as a 22 year old woman, in the United States in 2011, is really difficult. At least for my personality type. I am constantly surrounded by superficial "Jersey Shore" bull shit that makes me want to vomit. Oh my god, you have no idea how disgusted I have been with life on this earth in the past couple years of being bombarded with it.
