Amoeba Music teams up with The Oakland Museum of California and Pixar for a night of films, discussions, dancing, free art classes and more! Stop by the Amoeba table and chat with Amoeba staff, plus win prizes, and gear up with Amoeba Music schwag! It all takes place in the beautiful OMCA in the heart of downtown Oakland.
Find adventure until midnight at O Zone at OMCA's mini-festival!
Get your sketch on – free drawing classes offered from landscape to portraits!
Go behind-the-scenes to hear artists from Pixar talk about the making of UP! at 6pm, followed by an 8pm screening of the film (limited seating in the theater).
Explore The Marvelous Museum: A Project by Mark Dion, the new exhibition in the Art Gallery and watch a silent film—with live music accompaniment by The Marvelous Museum Band at 11pm—about a big-game hunt by Henry Snow, founder of the Snow Museum.
Dance to the Dinner Hour (5p.m. – 8p.m.) to Oakland's party band Blue Bone Express.
The Bollywood from 8:30-9:30pm with Non Stop Bhangra.
Go online for timed tickets to PIXAR: 25 Years of Animation or get them with your admission ticket at the Museum (no fee).
Watch Pixar Short in the History Gallery’s Studio Screening Room.
Get a gourmet-fix at Blue Oak café.
Get the goods at the OMCA Store and meet Pixar artist Sanjay Patel at 7:30pm, who will sign his new book Ramayana: Divine Loophole (Chronicle Books).
