More thrilling news from the fine folks at Matador: On September 28th, pretty much the eve of their 21st anniversary blowout party in Vegas, the label will release a limited edition box set of tracks culled from 1989 right up to the present!
Artists such as Steve Malkmus & the Jicks, Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Chavez, Kurt Vile, Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Arab Strap, Liz Phair and about a zillion others will be represented! There will also be an oh-so-enticing extra disc of exclusive, unreleased live tracks from the 10th year anniversary concert back in 1999 with artists like Cat Power, Pavement, and Bardo Pond.
AND the box set comes with 36 custom Matador poker chips! How fun is that?
If all that wasn't enough, all the proceeds from the box set will be given to three selected charities.
