now THAT makes me wanna see this.
This movie is spectacular low budget gore entertainment! You can't ask for more from the underground scene, I really love the flow of this movie and the way it casually unfolds and the rubber reality feel of the whole thing. I highly recommend the DVD, though I do think it is out of print as of this writing, it sold out pretty fast. There are so many good kills in this flick, from the kid that gets chainsawed to the *SPOILER* shocking baby carriage sequence to the part where the guy puts a live grenade in his mouth. This movie is raw in all respects and certainly not all movie viewers will enjoy it but those who appreciate rough around the edges, grainy underground splatter movies should really appreciate this effort. By the way, this movie helped usher in the entire "direct to video" scene that is so popular these days, especially in the horror scene. This flick deserves way more respect and credit for what it did, and also of relevance is the "sequel" that director Ritter made in the era, one "Killing Spree" now easily available on DVD from Camp Video. I can only hope that "Truth or Dare" gets another big DVD boost, there certainly are legions of fans out there who know and respect this movie. "What? I dared you to cut your leg off! CUT YOUR LEG OFF!!!" Ya gotta be in the zone, in the state of mind, to truly love this movie, but if you are, welcome to our world, friend!
