Maybe the wholly texan didn't include Southland since it was technically an 06 release?

Nah, we don't count furrin release dates 'round these parts. TALES wasn't included because it's crap -- magnificent crap -- but, crap, nonetheless. I hear tell the Village Voice liked it heaps. That's Yankees for you.

Also, no INLAND EMPIRE or PAN'S LABYRYNTH? Are they considered to be from a previous year, or do they just not make it?

Yeah, I saw both in 2006, but I'll wager that I.L. will make onto my top 11 for the decade and P.L. was one of the best of its year.
