Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel, Jr. 1938-2007

October 17, 1938 – November 30, 2007
Here are a few images of some toys I really … REALLY … wanted for Christmas as a kid!!
It was no accident I got my first motorcycle at 11 years of age.
Rest in peace Evel.

Your 1st picture, I remember having that little dude and the motorcycle, and I am guessing it was a hand me down from one of my big brothers because it sure as hell never had 40 pieces. Why was he such a phenomenon? I have no idea. But after my dad got done beating my mom black and blue and throwing one of his kids through a window, I'd be outside far far away and I WAS Evel Knievel, with my little dirt bike and funny pull over stretch uniform and man, we soared over the biggest obstacles you could pile in front of us. Didn't matter how we landed every time, just that we kept getting up the guts to go for it. He meant a lot to this kid. Thanks, dude.
