Ike will no doubt be remembered for his contributions to Rock n Roll in its infancy.
He will also no doubt be remembered for beating and abusing his one-time wife, Tina Turner.

great clip! did you see what miss tina had to say about the whole thing? "Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made." aww shit. you tell, 'em tina...
Such. Utter. Class. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. 23 years of chanting thanks to Tina Turner and an article in Time (or Life?) magazine that I read in a waiting room. She'd been my idol since 7 years old (literally: that is when I saw Tommy at the drive-in). It was only then that I learned what she had been through, and realized that I had to do everything I could to change my life because my daddy makes Ike look like Mr. Rogers. Thank you Tina, and I hope Ike gets it better next time. To his spirit, now free ... Namasté ... Namaskar ... नमस्ते (This is my work) Come back black, come back without that poison being put in your heart. Talented man, wasted spirit. Come back and be beautiful all around.

Pity the damn asshole. Oh: I am working on that whole "forgiveness" thing, and since I haven't mastered it yet? Burn in HELL Ike! You bet. I'll keep on that learning to forgive stuff. Ike just didn't make the cut. Knowing she had to sing them love songs to him or get beat to hell later on? I can't even watch the old ones. Makes me just sick.
