An Apple A Day (CD)
Apple
Amoeba Review
Tiffany Anders 06/03/2010
Psychedelic pop band Apple fell into obscurity after they released An Apple A Day in 1969, which has been heavily sought after by psych enthusiasts and record collectors ever since. The album features several stellar tracks including the musically upbeat but lyrically dark, “The Otherside,” which has been “the apple” of many collector’s eye. And rightfully so, the song is fantastic with heartbreakingly sad lyrics and top notch arrangements and superb piano work. Other stand out tracks include the classic pysch pop gem “Buffalo Billycan” and the upbeat “Psycho Daisies.”
