In a prequel to the John Carpenter classic remake, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Grindhouse) and Joel Edgerton (Warrior) star as the primary human opponents of the creature; they have to withstand not only violent attacks from alien manifestations but also mounting paranoia as the thing begins to replicate more members of the research team.
